After watching documentaries on the mistreatment of cats and dogs at animal mills, I decided that I would never again purchase a pet through a pet store. The experience and wealth of information I received through getting to know Simona was amazing. Unlike a pet store where they are trying to convince the customers that a pet is the perfect one for you, and receive the hard sell, it's on the contrary with Simona, her love and devotion for her cats and kittens shines through, and you have to be a very special person before you'll have the privilege to own one of her kittens. Our new kitten is just the best cat I have ever had! It is evident that the care and love he was given from Simona helped to make him so affectionate and a people cat. He loves to be with us and we are amazed at how well he gets along with my other cat and two dogs. There are many breeders out there but there is a difference between someone who just does it for the money and someone who truly has a passion for raising healthy & loved kittens! My husband and I are “Head-Over-Heals” in love with our two adorable, playful and lovable kittens known as Huggles and Snuggles. When our two cats passed away earlier this year, we were heart broken. I searched the internet for two months looking for our next “Angels in Residence”. After having spoken with several Himalayan and Persian cat breeders who sometimes misrepresented the truth about the cleanliness of their homes and the health of their kittens, I felt sad and disillusioned about the quality and integrity of cat breeders. Then, I found Simona Berlen. Her knowledge of the Himalayan, Persian and other long-haired breeds is amazing. Her willingness to talk with me and return my emails quickly was refreshing. Her patience and understanding of our wants and concerns is genuine. I learned a lot about the proper care and health maintenance of kittens that I never had learned before from former breeders or veterinarians. She kept in contact with us when the kittens were first conceived through their birth and sent photos. We traveled to California from Nevada to meet our kittens after 4 weeks of age and then returned a month later to bring them home. Simona welcomed us graciously into her home which is immaculate. Her love for her cats is obvious because of their affectionate nature. We feel so very fortunate to have found Simona and recommend her highly. She represents peace of mind, joy and integrity.

This testimonial is to Simona Berlen (Gattopoli Persian and Himalayan) as a breeder. If you want kittens that are loved beyond your imagination, taken care of better than a lot of people take care of their children, and are bred to be healthy, then this is the breeder for you. I personally have two of her kitties, Sophie who is a Blue Point Himalayan and Caspian who is a Blue Persian. I have one other older cat (Kokie) that is a Flame Point Himalayan from a different breeder. Unfortunately, Kokie has developed polycystic kidney disease which causes kidney failure. One of the reasons I originally contacted Gattopoli Persian and Himalayan was because of the DNA Analysis Certificate from University of California, Davis. The certificate identities that (Simona) Gattopoli Persian and Himalayan Sires and Queens do not possess the gene that caused feline polycystic kidney disease or (PKD). My two adorable kittens that I purchased from Simona Berlen are confident, healthy, active and loving. I can tell you that the quality of breeding and the loving attention that Simona gives to her cats and kittens makes a HUGE difference. In addition, Simona makes sure that all of your questions are answered, and she is always there for support if you need it. In closing, I think Simona is a very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate breeder. I would definitely purchase another kitten from Simona Berlen.
